What's Your Favorite Breakaway Plus Ship?

Recommended Posts

Just off the Getaway and loved it.

First cruise on NCL in 20 years.

Already put $500 deposit on a future cruise.  I want to check out what the next gen ship is all about.  Not the Prima. Will wait for the initial excitement to wear before going on her. Which is your fav and why?

OK, there are 4 of those.

Escape - Ropes course, Spice H20 for adults, no observation lounge, no go-karts, Studio area for solo travelers

Bliss - Studio area, Spice, Observation lounge, Go-karts, no ropes course, sealed-off smoking section in the casino

Joy - No Studios (the Family inside Concierge section replaced them), Observation Lounge, go-karts, Spice H20, sealed-off smoking section in the casino

Encore - Same as Bliss except no Spice H20

I love the OL on the Bliss and Joy, like the option of the adults-only Spice H20 and like the option of the Studio cabins (as a solo traveler) so my pick would be the Bliss, but I'm willing to give the Escape a try.  I enjoyed the Joy also but I'd have to go balcony or inside double-occupancy.

What's important to you?

We've been on 3 of the 4 (Escape - 2017, Encore (2022) and Bliss (2022).  Booking the Joy (Or the Getaway) for May of 2023.

All 3 are special and wonderful.  The Waterfront is pure magic for us!

All things considered, we loved the Encore the best (although the Bliss is a very close second).

Have fun planning your next voyage!

ENCORE…..Observation Lounge is great to hang out in, regardless of weather, having a huge viewing area of where the ship is sailing.  Also, love the new specialty dining options on board.

sounds like all have waterfront which is a must

Yes, all the BA+ ships have the Waterfront.  Actually, BA and GA have it also, don't they?  I love that space, it's where I'd go for some pseudo-balcony time if I didn't book a balcony...

Only done Joy and Encore, doing Joy again this December and Bliss next spring.

Between the two I've been on, enjoyed the Encore a bit more as she was still basically new when we sailed her.  Still had her inaugural merchandise on board.  The Observations Lounge is the end all spot to be.  Have to give the Joy some points here as they have a Starbucks in there, not just down on deck 6.
