Is Photo necessary for web check-in

Is taking the photo necessary for web check in?  I know they usually take it at the port anyway.

I think you've answered your own question. It isn't necessary to upload a photo for web check in. They usually take it at the port anyway.

We've uploaded photo at one time only to have it taken again at check in.

 

DCL has it together that if you have a recent photo on account no upload or photo.

I'm 0 for 2 with MSC and the photo upload. The last time I asked a supervisor there (because she was standing there, not because I sought her out to complain) and she gave me the most reasonable explanation ...

 

"The picture you upload is for check-in, but here at the port when you check in, we need to take it."

 

So there ya go.
