Internet pricing onboard? Symphony

We will be on Symphony soon and wondering if we should buy internet now or onboard. WE are looking at

surf/stream 2 devices for one person. We are Diamond. Thanks !!

It seems really high....but I guess I just don't remember past costs 😛

Not direct knowledge, but I've been told to purchase it prior. If the price goes down. Cancel and rebook. This is from someone on our FB page.

I always buy it pre-cruise.  And unless you need to use both devices at the same time, just get the one device package.  You can use multiple devices with the one device package, just not at the same time.

I bought Internet (surf and stream) for my upcoming symphony cruise and it cost $20.99/day ($147 for the week).

 

It was an extra $84 total for the second device. Cheapest I've seen it so far.

It depends on the cost difference between ship and planner. D usually gets a $26 credit. Assuming you are a couple and use the other credit for a day and buy the 5 days remaining package on board, the planner price would need to be at least $5/day cheaper (typically 20% off) to be a better option, financially.

I've been on 13 cruises since the restart, and it's always worked out better for me to purchase in advance for a weeklong cruise.  I wish they would let you use the D/D+ discount in the Cruise Planner.

that is cheap.....its $168 for one device, $287 for 2, and $335 for 1 device for each of us. wow.

$168 ($22.99/day) is what it's usually listed at when it's "on sale."
 

There have been about 2 weeks they had it on sale for $20.99/day. Last week was one of them, and the other week was mid July (I bought it during that sale, on July 14th).

That's the only time I've seen it go that low since I booked this cruise back in April. I check prices every day, more than once.

Completely Agree!! 

It seems like a waste not to use the free days but if you need/want internet the entire cruise, it costs less to purchase it pre-cruise
