why book future cruises when there are so many changes?

We have a 7 day cruise booked for Feb. I'm currently looking at longer cruises for fall of 2023. We love cruising & love Princess. We know things can be tenuous in these post pandemic days. But we're going to keep booking, hoping for good results, but accepting there may be some problems.

Seems like you can't count on the cruise lines anymore than the airlines with changes and cancellations, it's just a crap shoot.

The vast number of scheduled cruises go as planned - probably 95+%. There is more of a chance of you changing or cancelling for your own reasons than the cruise line causing the issue. Cruises are not remotely similar to an airline flight. Airline schedules are much more fluid due to weather, mechanical, or staffing issues. A cruise ship schedule is quite complicated and takes months to arrange, while an airline's schedule can be easily changed on an hour's notice. And, a cruise ship can still function with one or two staff short, but an airplane can't function with two of the flight crew unavailable.

Nine 🙄

Yeah.  6 of them are casino freebies which I know you guys don't get across the pond.  I'm retired and winter sucks so why not?  Hubby still works so it gives other family or friends the chance to come with me.

As of today, I have 9 cruises booked.  None have changed since the pause.  I changed one to another cruise line due to itinerary but so far so good.

We also have 9 cruises booked thru spring of 2024.  Unfortunately, none are casino related.  I guess you have to go into the casino to get those deals!  😄 😄

Yes.  Well actually, I only book the casino cruises where it is included but recently it hasn't been.  But, I'll wait em out until they offer it again.
