mfinster007 Posted August 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2022 Hello all, we are frequent cruisers but new to Princess. We’ll be sailing 10/8 RT to Hawaii from SF. Can someone provide a link or post daily newsletters on activities we can look forward to in the Sea Days? Thank you, Michelle

Port talks (not shopping sales pitch) on the way over Lectures from a Naturalist and/or lecturer Cruise DIrector activities: ribbon lei making/flower lei on the way back Maybe: Napkin folding, origami, card making, lanyard activity, crepe flower, etc Hula Lessons / Ukulele Class by Cultural Ambassadors if they are on board Zumba/line dancing/ballroom dance classes Regular Spa "seminars" Wine Tasting for a fee Ice Sculptures Culinary Demonstration (usually last day) no more kitchen tours or back stage tours BINGO / Casino is open And a sundry of other Piazza entertainments and sale pitches
Rare travelin.sisters Posted August 15, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2022 we did LA r/t to Hawaii in January...it was the first sailing back to Hawaii since the pause & some things were limited because covid restrictions were still in place, but here it the thread I did of our cruise if you are interested my biggest recommendation (have been on 2 & planning on a 3rd Hawaii r/t) is if you have Hawaiian ambasadors on your sailing (someone on the rollcall for your sailing should know) do whatever they offer...'ukulele & hula lessons are fun even if they wouldn't be a thing you normally do. Good Advise and link. Unfortunately, OP is leaving from San Francisco. They should have a Hawaiian Cultural Ambassador…but they won’t be ELUA. OP will still have a great voyage. Will OP be on the Ruby? @travelin.sisters glad you had a fantastic voyage and planning your third. 🌴🛳 🌈

skynight Posted August 15, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2022 And, of course, trivia, morning, late afternoon, and sometimes evening themed. Watch for activities that are really sales talks. These are generally run by the spa and by the shops on board. Might be a fashion show.
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted August 15, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2022 Don't forget tea time. There might be a water colors activity in the piazza. Maybe egg drop, ship building (although I haven't seen this one lately), horse races, and other money making activities.
Rare LawDog61 Posted August 16, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2022 On the sail over, they always show the Elvis movie “Blue Hawaii”. It’s campy as heck and I have watched it many times, but the scenes of driving around 1960 Hawaii in his girlfriend’s MGA always sets the mood for me. Yea
