hallux Posted August 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2022 https://www.ncl.com/faq#!#what-is-onboard-service-charge Very last line is the one of interest to you, though I suggest also reading the entire first paragraph as well - the DSC (DISCRETIONARY Service charge) covers people beyond those you interact with. There's also this entry in the FAQ - https://www.ncl.com/faq#!#what-about-gratuities

On that cruise we left good tips/gratuities to 3 people who actually deserved it, including our steward.

Most cruise lines have some form of Daily Service charge which go to all crew members that help make your cruise wonderful. For example, it would include your waiter, assistant waiter, bus person, dish washer, cook, etc. Pay your Daily Service Charge. Don’t short the hard working crew of your ship.

Rare scooter6139 Posted August 19, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Unless it's added to your booking, I think it is optional. Our December cruise it was an add-on that I have to pay for separately. The April cruise, setup by our PCC, was included in the booking.
