Pre-Cruise COVID Testing for Australia

I looked on-line and apparently the Australia government is no longer requiring a pre-entry COVID test, so why is Princess requiring a test for cruises leaving Australia?  Looking at the Princess website posting, they are no longer requiring COVID test unless required by country; yet, they require a COVID test for cruises leaving an Australian port.  Am I miss reading this?

If you are really interested.  Go to the attached wesite and then read the CDNA National Guidelines for Cruising in Australia.

OK, a recommendation that is being followed, but not a government requirement.

So, there you go.  Princess has decided to follow the recommendation(s) and passengers need to have a pre-embarkation test.  You know, not everything has to be done simply because there is a rule or law; organizations and people can choose to do things they believe are, in a bigger picture, in their best interests.

Down here Princess are requiring you to state that you have had a negative RAT test. It doesn't have to be a supervised test. Hardly what I call a test. Technically yes a test but......
