$400 Freeplay@cage??

Hi everyone, I just checked and saw I also have this.  I never even looked at this location on previous cruises.  Thank you and I hope I'm able to cash out any winnings at the end of the cruise, but maybe it's "play" money?

I've just been to the casino onboard and have the $400 free play I was using in slots.  Any winnings from the free play go into "your bank", just like if you were to cash out any regular money at a machine.  You then go to the cashier at some point to get the physical cash. 

 

What I didn't figure out this first night is how to keep track of the winnings while you're playing.  If you press cash out, it will send your winnings to your bank and any unbet free play that was downloaded back to your free play balance.  So say you downloaded $10, bet $5 and won $20, then press cash out.  The $20 goes to "your bank", and the remaining unbet $5 goes back to your free play balance.  Every time you cash out you have to start all over with your PIN.

 

BTW, the freeplay was available at the slot.  I had stopped at the cashier first to ask about it and the person pulled out a list of all the passengers with free play.  I assume that list was also used for redeeming for chips.

Thank you very much for the response!  It showed up when my mom logged in too so maybe it's just one credit and it's hers (since she is the gambler).  I find it hard to believe we both have a $400 credit.

I got it too. I wasn’t much of a gambler on my last cruise. I made a copy just in case it disappears.

We have it showing on our 2024 cruise on Sky, but not on 2023 on Caribbean.

Uh oh. Those $400 casino credits were removed from my booking. Only shows $100 now. I printed a copy before it disappeared. I will contact them tomorrow.

Yeah, me too...  It looks like they have revamped the Onboard Reservations page and have moved all promotional and Plus options to the bottom of that page where the $400 Freeplay was.  I don't see anything on the Credits page except the OBC for using FCDs.

 

I do have that printed page showing the Freeplay in my folder though.

I just checked and it was removed also.  I did print it out and it can't hurt to ask when we board in February.

For those whose free play changed - is the right amount still shown on in the OBC section of the personalizer (on the Future Cruise Credits page)?  And do you still see the right amount on the Travel Summary?  Both places show the correct amount for me but I did notice that the amounts are gone from the Onboard Services page while in the booked cruise.

My $400 is still showing on the Onboard Services page. It also shows on my Travel Summary.

The $100 only shows up on the Travel Summary for my mom but my other OBC is correct in the Payment section.  I knew the $400 casino credit was too good to be true (I most definitely didn't earn anything from playing in the casino, my mom is gambler).

We still see this on my Dad's booking summary but it was also included in the Casino email offer that he received and subsequently booked so given that it would really not be ok for it to disappear. For those that no longer see this, did you actually receive a marketing email with the $400 free play offer?

We did not receive the casino offer email, however, my book was able to book us at the "special" casino rate.  I'm sure it was just a mistake but we'll definitely check with the casino when we arrive.

Called Princess Vacation Planner that rebooked this casino offer. I originally booked the cruise but the regular customer service could not get the casino credit to stick. They told me to wait closer to cruise and they will try again. Next day I got another booking that included the credit and a voicemail from the Planner. I called him back today. He said he got another call and they were able to fix it. I will keep you posted.

Our offer also dropped from $400.00 to $100.00.  It had just appeared after booking.

Princess Planner could not find the code linked to the $400 cage promotion. No resolution. I probably won’t push it.

My guess is after Princess read this thread, they realized some people received the free play who weren’t supposed to, and they pulled it back. Maybe it was originally a glitch.
