Ovation or Brilliance to NZ?

Recommended Posts

Suggest you add this to the Australia/NZ Cruisers forum instead.

I've been on Ovation but to the South Pacific. Have an Ovation cruise to NZ booked for this coming January.

If you're travelling with kids or active young adults, would highly recommend Ovation.

I'm looking at a Feb. 2024 cruise to New Zealand. Ovation and Brilliance are about the same price. I've been on Brilliance, but never on Ovation.

Can anyone who's cruised to NZ on either ship share their opinion?

Thanks.

They both have their advantage. Ovation has more options in food and entertainment. Brilliance is a bit more personal.

If you haven’t been on Ovation, try it.

In October of 2019 we had done an 18 night TP from Hawaii to Sydney AU on Ovation.  As we probably weren't going to get there anytime soon, we also decided to do the b2b around NZ for 9 nights (same room which was very nice).  The ship was amazing, the staff fantastic and absolutely "0" complaints.
