Panama Canal M class - is Deluxe Veranda (sweet 16) worth $200 more than Prime Veranda

We have a Prime Veranda cabin booked (7104) for the Panama Canal westbound.  This is a rebooking from a cancelled cruise for which we had a sweet 16 cabin.  Now they are charging more for those cabins and have reclassed them as Deluxe.  I’m trying to weigh the trade offs of being midship and cheaper ($200 / cabin) vs the larger balcony and forward.  Would you pay extra for the Deluxe?

We stayed in a sweet 16 once and won’t do that again.  Large balcony but still same 2 chairs and table  so the extra space was useless.  The walk from the cabin to the aft seemed to take forever.

Not if your choices are the forward most, maybe forward most two cabins.  No view forward unless you stand at the railing .  EM

Thanks. It would probably be the 2nd or 3rd one back from the front.    Didn’t think it would be any different from other cabins where u need to be at the rail to see forward

Here is an old thread about Sweet 16 cabins before they cost extra. The first 3 cabins on each side have steel columns and are totally covered by a roof above. I have stayed in a Sweet 16 cabin and liked the larger balcony with partial sun and partial shade, but personally would not want one of the first 3 cabins.
