It's my birthday on the 13th and although I'd have liked to spend it on board, my oppo at work wanted the end of September off and since he's been single handedly kept the office afloat while I've been off I thought I out to let him have it. Anyway, so rather than spending it on board we are staying on for a couple of days returning to the UK on the 15th

Then let me suggest one stop as a part of your birthday celebration, La Champagneria Barcelona – Cava at La Xampanyeria Barcelona. This is our favorite place in Barcelona for tapas and cava. It is a fun happening place frequented by locals and in-the-know travelers from all over the world. It is located at Carrer de la Reina Cristina, 7, 08003 in the Barceloneta area of Barcelona. Order a whole bottle of pink Cava and all of your tapas selections at once. It is usually crowded but you can eat outside. Closed Sundays.

Thank you for you ongoing report @rakkor .

One question, please: Is there any indicatuon if and when the cocktail parties will return? At least the Senior Officers party.

I had a chat with one of the officers this morning while waiting for the tender and she confirmed that there's nothing definite planned, but they are hoping to resume them soon, obviously there are many values of soon available

How about "soon" being in two weeks time? 😉

Thank you for asking @rakkor!

Re the post about QE’s condition being poor: We were on in early June, and everything was in good shape. We’ll be back on in early October, and I only hope that most of the painting will be done by then. The fumes triggered my asthma, but that was the ONLY downside we experienced. I can deal with it to be back on board!

Since I don’t have it in my hand I won’t judge, but I like the tri-fold because it will fit easily in my purse or a book,  and I like the color coding. How’s the content @rakkor?

I only saw yesterday's as we left the ship, but it ll looks to be there, I'll scan it properly when we return home tomorrow so you can judge it better

They were painting bits of the Grills terrace Sunday, I assume it's a bit like painting the Forth Bridge, once finished it's time to start all over
