1025cruise Posted September 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2022 There might be a few seats available for onboard purchase, but I'd look for plan B.
Rare OCSC Mike Posted September 4, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2022 Have you tried looking for a similar independent excursion (i.e. not through RC)?
Kathscof Posted September 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2022 I would keep checking, people could cancel. One for ours this year was sold out 3-4 months prior to our trip and I stopped checking each day about a month out, thinking I was out of luck. Someone on my roll call mentioned it had opened up 3 days before the trip and we were able to book! (It ended up that there were only about 16 spots available haha)
Surfguyxxx Posted September 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2022 We were on the Explorer recently and they got us on when we went to the Shore Excursions desk. Never hurts to try. Good luck.
FLHugh Posted September 4, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 4, 2022 We were on Explorer the last week of July and wanted a Cabana on Labadee, which was listed as Sold Out on the Cruise Planner. We went to the Shore Excursion Desk as soon as we boarded and they had several available.
mets07 Posted September 4, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2022 It can go either way. Our experience was one excursion we wanted allowed one of us to book but not the other. When we got on board they put the second person on a waiting list but a spot never opened.
alex_drew Posted September 5, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 5, 2022 A few months ago my DH had twisted his back the day before so we weren't able to go on our sold-out catamaran excursion that morning...I stood in line and cancelled for the two of us. I didn't ask for (nor expect) a reimbursement since it was the same day, but I didn't want them waiting for us/expecting us and holding everyone else up, and I really hoped that someone else could take advantage of that excursion. I would say, ask at Shore Excursions every day, even the morning of the excursion...I sure hope someone asked the day we cancelled!
