dianeh Posted September 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2022 Sailing from Vancouver to Alaska next week. I would like to confirm we each can bring 1 bottle of wine to be kept in our stateroom at no charge? How do we declare this? Carry separately or pack in suitcase? Thank you. Rare puppycanducruise Posted September 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2022 Sorry, no more free wine. Corkage fee applies to all wine carried on whether it will be consumed in the dining room or your stateroom or elsewhere. I believe the fee is now $20 per bottle. Thank you. puppy is right, no more "free" wine and corkage currently $20/bottle, for any "reasonable" number. The FAQ says: "Guests 21 years and older may bring Wine and Champagne onboard, however a corkage fee of USD $20.00 (which is subject to change without notice) will be applied to each bottle (max 750 ml in volume or less). Limitations apply. Wine brought in quantities deemed to be excessive by the vessel or security will be refused." Additionally, non-alcoholic beverage policy has changed to: "Plastic water bottles are not allowed. However, an allowance of six liters, twelve (12) cans or cartons (500 ml in volume or less) or six (6) cans or cartons (1 liter in volume or less) of water are allowed per stateroom. Any amount in excess of this allowance will be not be allowed onboard. Water in plastic bottles will not be allowed onboard in any quantity, including in ports of call. Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding." I believe that re-usable plastic bottles (such as Nalgene or REI types) are not including in the ban, only ones that would end up in the trash.
