Except that may not come with health insurance making it unfeasible to actually retire at 55 (in my screwed up adopted state at least).

Most of the Health insurance is free in Canada , Thanks to the tax paying public.

Dental and some eye care is extra and some medications arent covered .

Wait times could be long though for some surgery .

Yeah, costs a small fortune here if you're paying completely out of pocket (i.e. not paid for by your job). That's why I added the part about Florida. Teacher pay and benefits also differ greatly from state to state here.

I like the layout on the Oasis.   I think they were trying to do away with the school cafeteria style buffet of older ships.

I still miss the WJ cafeteria trays that were provided. A as Solo traveler now have to make 2-3 trips from Stations to my Table with risk an attendant will remove all my Plates and Cups

I don't know about the seating in WJ, but summer school holidays continue into the second week in September in Italy and also some regions in Spain.

and schools in Baden Wurtemburg and Bavaria didn't go back until this past week either (they are still in school all through June and July though).  I guess the answer to Op's "why aren't kids back in school here" is that Europe is not the USA and our schedules to not all line up with Florida 🤷‍♀️
