Thinking we are going to see the sights in Halifax for our day off the ship...spend some time in the Boardwalk area...Citadel, Maritime Museum, Keith's Brewery, the garden, etc etc...what are the fun/great restaurants in that area that offer lobster/seafood where we could have a nice lunch? Thanks!!!

Another option is The Bicycle Thief -- also on the Boardwalk. We have eaten at both and enjoyed delicious lunches.

The Bicycle Thief is one of my favourite restaurants ever.
It is Italian.
Was there the past weekend. They had a pasta with lobster in it and several other seafood pasta dishes.  You won't get a whole lobster but they do have a lobster roll on their lunch menu.

Last time in Halifax we ate at McKelvies (located directly across the street from the Maritime Museum). McKelvies is where you want to go to enjoy tender, buttery, melt in your mouth, Digby scallops, and lobster rolls (properly moistened with a little mayonnaise, and bits of celery and onion). It all goes down good with a Garrison Irish Red draft beer. This is where we enjoyed the best Digby scallops and lobster rolls on this cruise.

there is the open area between the Maritime  Museum and the ship that has all kinds of booths that sell food.  Try Davy's or Dave's - cost is $29 CAD for a lobster roll (current conversion rate is $1.30 US

We find we enjoy our meals within sit in restaurant to relax and also keep the food warn.

Restaurant staff in Halifax very genuine good people and very accommodating.

Having been on the Past September NE/CAN on QM2 for 14 days, all our purchases we used with a card were converted by the bank at home to USA.

Yup - works worldwide - so nice not to have to bother with travellers cheques and changing local currency all over!
