mgfraser Posted September 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2022 HI Everyone, We have not been to Lisbon and wonder if anyone can recommend a hotel possibly near the new cruise terminal. Many thanks.
labonnevie Posted September 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2022 Nothing in Lisbon is far from the cruise terminal. That said, I would recommend a downtown location. We loved the Avenida Palace hotel in 2019. About 10 - 15 minutes to the cruise terminal.
Rare marazul Posted September 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2022 The Tivoli is a wonderful hotel. It has a really good restaurant too.

Rare FlyingScotSailors Posted September 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2022 We have stayed at the Avenida Palace twice, before and after Seabourn transatlantics, and recommend it highly.
saminina Posted September 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) You might want to check where the ship will be located. Edited September 22, 2022 by saminina
Rare wine-wine-wine Posted September 22, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 22, 2022 Be sure to save time to try Landeau chocolate cake. Woman owned and they make only one thing - the best chocolate cake in the world. Perfect with a glass of port. https://www.landeau.pt/

caviarforme Posted September 23, 2022 #9 Share Posted September 23, 2022 We are also departing November 26 from Lisbon on Seabourn! Maybe see you onboard? Been to Lisbon a few times with a couple of pre/post cruise . Lisbon is relatively small and the city is close to the airport. It has hotels for all tastes - we prefer the smaller "personal" ones if it is other than an overnight. Our most memorable stay was some 10+ years ago post cruise at what we would call a Boutique Hotel today, Palacete Chafariz D'El Rei, https://chafarizdelrei.com/en/hotel a former palace that was still being renovated then. It was a Palace! Rooms magnificent, views wonderful, and attention amazing. However, like many smaller European hotels, it is essentially Bed & Breakfast, but there are many excellent restaurants nearby. Do not stay at the Raddison Blu near the airport - we did a day stay there earlier this year after a very early flight arrival. It is not near anything and there was poor to mediocre food and service. This trip we are just over-nighting in Lisbon - not arriving till the early evening before - so using up some of the numerous Hilton points I have accumulated and staying at the Emerald House, which is near the cruise terminal. wesport Posted September 23, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 23, 2022 Lisbon is a wonderful walkable city. You will love it. We rented an apartment for 10 nights before our transatlantic back to Florida. Enjoy!
BoilerBill Posted September 29, 2022 #11 Share Posted September 29, 2022 My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz prior to our last Seabourn cruise from Lisbon. It was WONDERFUL! Totally walkable to most points in the city. Absolutely superior service, food, rooms, amenities. Just what you would expect of a Four Seasons anywhere else in the world. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Kind of like a Seabourn ship, except it's on land.
mgfraser Posted October 15, 2022 Author #12 Share Posted October 15, 2022 Thanks everyone for the suggestions. We did end up making reservations at Aurea Museum. That chocolate cake sounds great! Three weeks on the Ovation will be wonderful!
