Bridge cam is showing bound for Halifax.

So maybe it will dock there tomorrow.

I live an hour and a bit outside Halifax and we were lucky.  Halifax is starting clean up, but a lot of trees down and power out.

However I doubt they will dock in sydney on Monday as it really got hit bad.  It will take awhile to clean up.

Glad that you are OK....was just looking at some videos on The Weather Network. A real mess in some places!

Yes we were lucky.  We are to the west of Halifax and although we got high winds and rain nothing like eastern part of the province.   And Newfoundland West coast where complete buildings were washed into the ocean.

According to reports on cc from the ship, Princess has canceled three ports:  Halifax, Sydney and Bar Harbor and returned the port fees for all three to the pax.  The CB seems to be wandering off the coast of MA until it is safe to proceed to QC.  Not sure how many ports they will actually stop at before getting to QC.  Bummer but a lot safer for all pax and ship.

Quite the week for Princess and her passengers. Just off the Enchanted and we, too, lost 3 of our 5 port days, two due to local winds in Newport and Bar Harbor, and one, Halifax, due to the imminent arrival of Fiona.

We did go down to the ship today to meet friends.  Driving around Halifax was difficult.  Trees down all over causing us to reroute.  Power still out in major sections.  Street lights out.  Took an extra 25 min to get to the pier.

All museums were closed.  Many restaurants were closed.  The waterfront has reopened, it was closed up until yesterday for people's safety.  Power was on at pier and many businesses off the waterfront.

Cell service is sporadic but it seemed to improve as the day continued.

We met up with friends and had a nice lunch.

On trip out of town already many trees had been cleared, but still many blocked roads.

Schools are cancelled tomorrow in Halifax and east.

Later today I was updated by friends

Sydney is cancelled,,,, the whole island  of cape breton is still in recovery mode.  Many don't have power still, including my family.  Could be a few more days.

Charlottetown has also been cancelled.

The ship will dock at Saguenay and also Sept-Iles.
