So a little update (real time) and then I will try and catch up again on our stop for Kusadasi.  Yesterday,, when we were off the ship they were doing “routine electrical maintenance”.  When we came back it was still going on and in fact, we delayed sail from 8pm to 11 or so.  Much of the entertainment was postponed as well.  The fon continues this morning.  It is extremely winds, and after coming up to Lido, as I expected, they came over and announced due to high winds and heavy seas (right on both counts) they were cancelling out stop in Mykonos.  The black cloud over me continues….😃  Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

The #1 reason I booked the Vista inaugural was to see Ephesus.  My daughter had been there and when I saw her photos, I knew I'd go if I ever got the chance.  Well, that stop was cancelled because, I don't know, refugees was the excuse I believe.

I'm on a private tour; only 10 of us and we're heading out before the ship's big-bus tours.  It's all day but at least it includes a wine tasting at the end! 😁

Yep, looks like packing lots and lots of light layers with a couple of warmer things is going to be the way to go when I pack tomorrow.  And sunscreen!  That blue sky and sunshine looks so wonderful.

I’m enjoying your review, thank you! I’m living through your photos, I’d love a chance to go there one day.
I’m so sorry to hear about your condo. Your community is in our prayers. I feel so helpless watching from Illinois.

We sailed Vista's inaugural season too. First we were scheduled to port in Izmir - then that was canceled due to unrest. A few months later they replaced it with Kusadasi, and we scheduled a tour to Ephesus. Unfortunately, our sailing was scheduled for the week after the 2016 attempted coup in Turkey, and that ended Kusadasi. At least I can enjoy great photos like @jimbo5544 has taken until the day we can go in person.

So there was some maintenance that was being done while we were ashore.   As we got back to the ship, two things occurred.  The first was they drop you off at a rug shop for a demonstration and high pressure sales pitch, neither of which were we interested in and ducked out of.  The 2nd was we stopped in a store at the port and were told by a store employee we were not leaving  till 11:30pm (which was true).  Back on board we heard the announcement.  It got very windy but captured these as we left.
