shareholder credit question

I think I know the answer, but I am going to ask anyway. : ) We booked a cruise for early 2023 a few weeks ago but I just today bought over 100 shares of CCL. Can I still get shareholder credit applied to this cruise or would it only apply to cruises booked after I bought the stock?

I believe you should be good to get the stockholder credit

I don't know the answer, but I figure there's no harm in trying.  The worst that can happen is they say "no".  You might want to wait for "the dust to settle" a bit and submit the claim in a month or two?  Good luck!

I bought 100 shares this week, too. I’ll submit for my Christmas Celebration cruise. However, may be denied as it is a casino fare. Could pay off long term as my risk is only $7.56/share.

Yes, you can.  It doesn't matter if you booked before you owned the shares.  As long as the cruise sails by July 31, 2023 you can apply for credit, per the shareholder benefit PDF:  https://www.carnivalcorp.com/static-files/50351a91-4dc0-4f6b-bfec-684647e6129f

You can still get the shareholder OBC, the cruise does not have to be booked prior to the stock purchase.

You WILL receive the OBC on any cruise you book after you purchased the stock.

I booked last year for a cruise this month. I purchased my Carnival stock in July. I submitted the required documentation for the OBC and have received it on my booking.

This might be a silly question but what is the best why to submit the documentation to Carnival for the stockholder OBC? This is our first time doing it, just purchased the 100 shares via Robinhood. I read the pdf on submitting and it states you can submit via email, mail or fax but also states if you send via email you accept the risk that it might not be a secure transmission.
