Harbor Pilot Coming Onboard...Nope.

This was something I’ve never seen before.  It was in the afternoon in Cozumel when a Pilot boat cruised very slowly toward our ship.  Since it was still and hour before our departure and we were docked I thought this was unusual.  The boat came very close to our ship and then slowly turned away.  It was then I saw a guy at the back of the boat pulling something hand over hand out of the water and it wasn’t rope.  He pulled and pulled and suddenly I realized they had been trolling for fish as he began to pull fish onto the boat.  They ended up with quite a nice mess of fish.  I’ve never seen a pilot boat used for fishing before.IMG_1738_1.thumb.jpg.9a49d2ea5f250609b016b675dd3f0844.jpg

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day.  Teach a man to be a Harbor Pilot and give him a pilot boat and he'll eat for a lifetime.😁

Maybe it’s buffet night at the pilot boathouse. He forgot to hit up Kroger’s before work so he had to improvise. 😉
