First you only have 2 months to choose a booking and get any bonus OBC, otherwise you have 10 more months after that to just get back what you gave them towards a booking. Plus using the "cruise next" makes your fare non-refundable with penalties and charges for changes. I never book on board because they can never match the amount of TA OBC, so I have never bought these until recently....but my understanding is once I book it, if I change it, I will lose my "bonus OBC" (if I even got it) and will pay change fees. If booked in the US, there’s no change fee if you keep the same ship/date. If you move to another ship/date you pay $100pp penalty. You should keep the on board booking OBC with any change or move.
