Northeastcruiser007 Posted October 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2022 I'll soon be sailing on Iona with my family, in a four-berth cabin. I've read that P and O aren't doing the nightly turndown service. This would not normally bother me too much, but in a four-berth, will this mean the extra beds/bunks are permanently left out, even in daytime? I'd rather have them put away! Has anyone recent experience of this? Any information greatly appreciated. Thank you.🙂
terrierjohn Posted October 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2022 No experience myself, but others have commented that the sofa beds or Pullman bunks are prepared by the stewards in the evening, for cabins with 3 or 4 guests.

AlanCruise Posted October 29, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2022 Recently on Ventura in 3 berth the steward came in the evening to bring down the upper bed and prepare it. We actually told him to leave it down after a couple of days.
Ohana27 Posted October 29, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2022 We have been on the Iona twice as a family of four. On the first day the steward will ask what time you would like the beds out down, this is usually when you are at dinner, in the morning when your room is serviced they will put the bed away. They will leave them down if you request, or you can ask for the beds to be put up or down at anytime by calling reception. Hope this helps answer your question. molecrochip Posted October 30, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 30, 2022 I generally find that if you ask them to also tidy the bathroom they will oblige. Certainly whilst their in setting up the beds, they will clear away and dirty crockery / usually empty the bins agin.
July morning Posted October 30, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 30, 2022 We're got of Britannia on the 21st Oct and had a three berth cabin and we were asked what time we would like the bed settee made up, opted for a bucket of ice at 5pm and bed made up at 6.30pm. She didn't do anything else at that time but we weren't expecting as we had read things on this site before going about no turn down service.
