kwokpot Posted November 17, 2022 #26 Share Posted November 17, 2022 I was on the Seashore in September in an Aurea Balcony Suite (Deck 9 Aft) and these are the Aurea benefits: *Separate dining room with anytime dining - no reservations needed nor are they available. *FREE Thermal suite access for the entire cruise. *Access to the Aurea Sundeck *Prosecco and chocolate (A small dark chocolate bar) There were other benefits but there were the ones that stood out. We are thinking about an aft Aurea Suite also. Did you find deck 9 location OK, or would you have gone up a few decks? Also are ALL the Spa amenities included, such as scrub room, steam room, salt room, snow room, etc.

When we are back to fully booked cruises then the priority boarding benefit is really huge. I remember the times waiting hours at the terminal with boarding number 17 and next boarding group is number 3 😄

Don't Aurea guests get to order room service without the extra fee? I thought I saw that on there. Anyways I always check what's available even after booking. This AM the only balconies available for 3 ppl or more was Aurea, Bella and Fantastica was sold out. I just checked and there's some back. Just curious as if anyone know if that means ppl canceled (it's after final payment as we are 30 days out) or maybe they accepted some bids and moved ppl? I also saw the Max bid moved up some. Those who actually get their bids accepted do you check and modify your bid when you see that?

Aurea does get free delivery including breakfast but you pay for any food ordered other than breakfast. It was a casino booking and the room assigned to us, so we didn't ask to change to a higher deck.

terpshockey77 Posted November 19, 2022 #34 Share Posted November 19, 2022 We are new to MSC and have done a number of Royal Caribbean and a couple of Carnival cruises. We have Diamond status on Royal. Are there long waits to board if you choose a smaller port like Genoa to embark? Is the main dining ok or is the private dining for Aurea that much better to justify the increase in cost?

Main Dining Room has fix assigned dining time. Aurea has MyChoice flexible dining times. MyChoice alone doesn’t justify the cost.. Aurea includes priority embarking, cabins in best locations, access to Aurea Thermal Area, access to Top 19 Solarium deck, and more perks.

Genua is the biggest port by far with the longest waits. 1 hour ago, terpshockey77 said: Is the main dining ok or is the private dining for Aurea that much better to justify the increase in cost? It all depends on the ship or better said ship class. From my experience on the newer (and bigger) ships, Aurea has the exactly same menu as the main dining. Only somebody who was recently on for example Armonia can answer the question.
Rare misguy Posted March 6, 2023 #37 Share Posted March 6, 2023 We just boarded the ship and have Aurea package, I did not see any priority in checking or boarding. I would say the Divina in Miami is the worst boarding process I have seen in 20 cruises since the pandemic ended. We will see what we think, but I can see I am not likely to recommend this to my friends so far.

If Divina had returned from Columbia then no surprise at the delay, been there done that.

I asked, but nobody seemed to know anything about anything. I did verify that you get access to the thermal suite, but you have to make reservations. We did have prosecco and chocolate in the room. Rare LiquidWu Posted March 13, 2023 #43 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I wouldn't say that. All ships have an exclusive sunbathing area on one of the top decks. On the Sae* ships it is really nice and has its own bar, cabanas, sun and shade loungers, etc. And you avoid the overcrowding and noise at the main pool. A valuable perk in summer (or the Caribbean).
