Does it say priority boarding or just a priority check-in line?  And also no mention of the plat/Diamond waiting area/lounge.  Did I miss read it?

It says priority boarding as well as priority luggage delivery.  Just says go to the priority check in line but nothing about priority waiting area.

I think they meant to 'imply' the lounges for Plat/Dia would be available again.

On my last cruise last month, I'd asked the nice folks running check in; who pointed out the obvious, that the lounges were being used for COVID screening. Now that they aren't doing that anymore...the lounges should be ready to return to their original purpose.

We are cruising out of Port Canaveral Terminal 3 in just over a week and I wonder if they will use the 500 seat VIP lounge for D and P guests and not just suites now? I would think that they would but someone who knows an employee said it’s only for Suite guests. Maybe they aren’t up to date. I can’t imagine they wouldn’t use it as it’s so big and will reduce crowding in main lounge.

I understand that we will be able to to sit in priority seating but you still get called according to your checkin time. We sail Nov.12 and Nov.19 back to back.

In the newly constructed Port Canaveral terminal, created a glass enclosed  area for Suite guests only.  Big open area for everyone else

Yeah.  Complete cluster if you’re not in a suite.  We sail MG again next week, we’ll see if it’s improved.

I was there and PC was clearly SUITES

Sorry but I just watched a video and it says VIP right on the sign, it’s a 500 seat waiting area. Of course, they only used it for suites during covid restrictions( maybe they had a temporary sign)  but those changes to Diamond and Platinum boarding this week mean that they board before suites so will be waiting in the VIP area.

That’s wrong, the sign when they built it clearly says VIP! Maybe they changed it temporarily due to covid restrictions but that has changed and the lounge seats 500 people!

It wasn’t built for Suite guests, look up the videos. It’s a VIP lounge but was used during covid for suites.

Yes, it said that last May.  The sign above the door was "Suites" and two guards at the door to check each boarding pass

Ok so it won’t say that now since they changed the boarding rules. It’s back to normal according to JH, weddings, diamond, Platinum , suites.

Which begs the question why if it was just for precautions? The smallest group of guests in a large, glass walled enclosure while everyone else was cheek to cheek in chairs.

Lol it’s for covid, obviously  you can see it can be changed easily. They obviously build the lounge to hold Diamonds, platinums and suites so why would they not go back to that,? Why would they build a lounge just for suites! Guess what…, they didn’t.

Who knows, they did that at every port.

I’m not too sure why you are even arguing? They said it’s going back to the way it was before so why are you so obsessed about suites getting priority boarding!?

Come back and let us know what the situation is after you sail out of PC.  Not being snarky. Interested to know.

Because the former lounges for P/D were pretty much a revolving door.  Rare was anyone prevented from entering,  There was no sign,  The place was full of cards of all colors.

The PC terminal was just build for the MG and not opened until after the startup so it was designated for a reason.  Why would they have put up a a very large, very classy Suites sign over the entrance to the separate area?  Why didn't they let Diamonds in there?  The main area was very, very full with not enough seats but you could see plenty of empty seating in the "suites".

They did what at every port?  There was no separate area at any other port I was at including the older terminal at PC.

Every port I have been to before covid has had a separate lounge for Diamonds and platinums, including the terminal they use for the Magic at Port Canaveral. It’s upstairs and I was in it in April lol so YES there are lounges for D and P..

Elaine, people who book some of the casino offers also get priority boarding and (in the past) have waited with the D/P people regardless of card color.

Even when Premiers offered "Priority" boarding, there was a separate waiting area in the terminal and it was after Weddings/Diamonds/Plats.  They were not in the P/D waiting area.  600 casino platers wouldn't fit.  It was (and will be again) a common question/statement of how everyone with a Plat or Diamond card could bring a dozen of their closest friends with them.
