just checked carnival for available cabins, 1 inside at $929 and 1 balcony $2639

Having kidney disease, I have to find places to hang out, to avoid the crowds, this looks just like the spot.  I will be bringing a long a thick for reading on the sea day, anyone know, which deck this is on.

It looks like deck 4 or the Mezzanine deck which has an outdoor promenade that covers around 3/4 of the deck.

good morning, 55 days to go, and our ship is at sea.

could not sleep in this morning, so notice the time 5am cst, and to it is Myriam and my 40th anniversary.  Special day.  Tomorrow our ship is at Puerto Plata, Dominican republic, never been there, intend to someday. On my bucket list.

I'm beginning to wonder if we will be stopping in Barbados. Still no shore excursions listed. Checked other independent excursions sites and not much available. 😎

You might be right as there are no ships docking at Bridgetown throughout August/Sept of '23 and only two during October with Carnival Venezia being the first on October 7. As a comparison in '24 there are 15 days of ships in port from August to October. Not sure as to the reason as I see no evidence of new port construction projects although just this past week they announced a $147 million dollar airport upgrade project. Bonaire is a fairly regular port stop for Carnival so I would suspect we might see it replace Barbados with a stop added there on the 6th after leaving Curacao on the 5th and than a sea day on the 7th before arriving in St. Lucia on the 8th.

We love Bonaire as well, so we would be okay with that scenario. If Barbados isn't in the picture, we also wouldn't mind substituting Antigua, Martinique, or St. Kitts. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Martinique, would be a dream come true, always wanted to go there.
