Although we are Elite Plus , we have not been on a S class ship in a while  .now that Soltice is   porting in San Pedro (Los angeles county ) California for awhile ,we can sail on her .

for those who habe recently sailed on her in the last year or so  what areas of the ship do you find   more exciting  . also how is the entertainment  in the main showroom  .do they have entertainment elsewhere on the ship as well ?

Thanks in advance for your replies 😃

We have been on Soltice  twice in the past year.

I think X has some of the best Main Theater entertainment of any cruise line.

I have not seen any change in quality post Covid and we have been on 7 X cruises in the last 14 months.

As for the entertainment in other parts of the ship it's Mosty smaller groups and singles or pairs of performers with augmented background support in lounges and venues around the ship.

You can usually find some that you like and their times and location can be found in the Daily Planner.

X has now been doing more Extra shows in the grand Foyer or Main Theater with the headline acts or the production singers-dancers and/or the  ships Orchestra on Sea Days or late evenings.

Then theirs my Favorite. The Liar's Club where you have to guess who of 3 people is giving the True definition of an obscure word.

Bingo on X has been replaced by a game show called Deal or No Deal with a smaller payout to participating guests but a bigger profit for the Casino.

We were on the Solstice both in June 2022 and September 2022.

The production shows will be the same as pre-pandemic.  Since the resumption of sailing we have been on seven itineraries, and it seems to me (although I could be mistaken) that there are more comedians on board than in the past.  Also, while some of the standard theater acts which were regulars on both RC and X ships are still there (ie folks like Karen Grainger) new acts have been introduced.
