No More Mixed Shots!

     Looking back, I could have made some changes to my post to be more direct and avoid all the chaos in this thread.  When you are on a cruise, it is easy to post out of passion and not think about being extremely precise in what you are saying so that people do not get triggered.  I would love to be able to edit or append the title and first post, but that is not possible for me to do.  I apologize for getting people wound up on this post; it was not my intent.

     The title should have been something to the extent of.  “Currently on NCL Pearl, and they are not allowing mixed shots this cruise as of November 18^th, 2022.”

     And if I could re-write the first post, it would have this.

     “We are currently on the NCL Pearl, and none of the bartenders are allowed to give out mixed shots at any of the bars.  Only straight shots are allowed at this time.  When I asked, they told me and others on the ship that “it was a directive from the corporate.”  I do not know if this is true, just what we were told during our cruise on the NCL Pearl from November 18th to the 29th, 2022.  Yes, we had the drink package.  We tried every bar other than the Heaven.”

But, I am pretty sure you were reporting something significant.  I'll admit, I'm not sure exactly what that is, but, there is or was something there. 

I've been telling myself that I think what's happened is the bartenders have been given the "OK" to say no to mixed shots.  My expectation is this permission would be used in times when they are very busy (e.g pool deck on sea days).  I'd also expect places like the Vibe to be unaffected.

That brain hemorrhage is something else! I'm glad you posted it and hope it's still around this summer when I sail The Pearl with my friends. I need to make them try it. I had it a couple years ago and it was definitely an experience!

It was in Henry's bar, Ships Ahoy is funny but not so good on the mini shots, when he goes to break another guy takes about 6pm (sorry don't know his name), he kept asking us when we were ready to try the next one 😂

I had to stop in the end and promised to resume the experimenting tomorrow 🤩

Spent 14 days on the Prima recently and enjoyed all sorts of shots at the Vibe and also had mini beers at the Penrose Bar.
