Car service tipping to cruise ship

From what I've personally seen and from what I've read tipping in the UK is more common than many would suggest, particularly and somewhat surprisingly in restaurants, though apparently not in pubs.

We tipped because  we thought the service was good  but come to think of it  I think it was an all in price we got

Some places in Southampton did not add the service  charge/tip in their prices  

some did but still had the tip jar on the counter  it was very confusing LOL

The UK is a tipping culture, not as wide as the US but I would tip taxi drivers and restaurant staff.
