Transportation Question

I see that they sell books of 15 tickets.  Can these tickets be used on the ferries as well as the buses?

Would you only need one ticket to get on the bus from Hamilton to the Dockyard or is it multiple tickets based on the distance.

Since we're going to be in Bermuda for only a day and a half, thinking this might be a better option for us if we want to use the transportation over 2 days.

 The tickets are good on all public buses and ferries. It's single ticket for any ride...Hamilton to Dockyard by either bus or ferry would cost a single ticket.

 

FYI the bus ride from Hamilton to Dockyard takes about an hour, while the ferry takes half that time or less. I do admit to using the bus years ago as an informal sightseeing trip but normally I take the ferry.

 

 Do the math to see what works out best for you based on your travel plans...individual ride tokens at $4.50 each, a 15 ticket book for $37.50, an one day adult unlimited pass at $19 per person or a two day unlimited pass at $31.50 per person (the latter unlikely to be a good choice for a day and a half ).

Can the 15 ticket book be used by different members of my family or are they specific to only one person?

The tickets can be used by different people. Be aware that the ticket booklets are not sold at the Dockyard.

You would want to take the ferry not a bus but if you  took a bus Hamilton to Dockyard on one bus ride  you need the 14 zone tickets which  are $37.50 for a book of 15. You can't use the 3 zone tickets. Be aware that the booklets are not sold at the Dockyard. You can get them in Hamilton and at post offices.

We'll be arriving on NCL this week and if they are still providing the free Ferry to St. George is there somewhere in St. George where we can buy the tickets?

Nevermind, I just saw that there is post office close to the Ferry in St. George.

To be clear they no longer sell the bus tokens or day passes at the Dock Yard? It has been a while since our last trip to Bermuda.

OP was asking about ticket booklets. Tokens and transportation passes are sold at the Dockyard.

That is great news thanks. We generally get a day pass for each of us, no fuss no muss and can just do what we want when we want for the full day.
