v3cruiser Posted December 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2022 Im just inquiring. It looks like those unvaccinated or those who can complete their vaccination before embarking on a cruise are still required to get tested. Has this been the experience of anyone? Just curios. Not from personal experience, but based on looking at the requirements posted by two cruise lines, NCL and Holland America, it appears that you have to either have proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test, not both. Have you looked at what your cruise line says?

DallasGuy75219 Posted January 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2023 I'm on Caribbean Princess leaving January 7 for partial Panama Canal cruise. Current requirement for Colombia is: "Guests ages 19 and above who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 do not require pre-cruise COVID-19 testing for this voyage. Due to Colombian requirements, guests ages 19 and above who have not been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 must produce the results of a negative COVID-19 test at cruise check-in. This may be a PCR test taken within 72 hours of embarkation or a medically observed Antigen test taken within 48 hours of embarkation. Self-tests that are not medically observed are not accepted. Unvaccinated guests ages 18 and younger are not required to test."

Markanddonna Posted January 31, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2023 We are on the Msc Divina right now in Cartagena and no one has ever checked our COVID cards. Not at registration or at port.
v3cruiser Posted January 31, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted January 31, 2023 That is good to know. We are traveling with ncl. It appears the cruise line needs the info at the time of embarkation so that they meet colombias requirements if they were to check passenger records before allowing ship to disembark in port. whether or not that happens is anyones guess. There were a few people being denied boarding in the past but i cannot remember the cruise line nor the port of call.
travmagic Posted March 8, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 8, 2023 Does it literally have to be “within 72 hours”? Sailing at 330p on Sunday, does test have to be after 330p on Thursday? Leaving this Sunday so don’t want any issues for our unvaccinated friends.
Glaciers Posted April 11, 2023 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2023 I have yet to confirm but Norwegian has updated their covid requirements by country and effective today, Columbia has been removed from the list and no longer requires it. Can anyone confirm this?
