Today is a sea day.  Here are more photos from the Panama Canal transit.

Last night we enjoyed another special request dish served in our suite.  This was Coctel de Camarones.  It's a shrimp cocktail recipe from Mexico.  It was spectacular.  I had provided a photo of the dish and a recipe.  Our wonderful butler took it to the Executive Chef.  We were thrilled with the result.

Tomorrow we will be in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

Coquetel de Camarões (in portiguese) was a very fancy appetizer in Brazil in in 1970´s. My mon loved to prepare it for guests served over ice more or less like this picture. Very fresh for summer time. Thank you. Your post brought back great memories! We still have these glasses, althought I never use it.

Today we were in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.  We did the Easy Cruise to the Eco Jungle.  We went by bus to reach the jungle tour boat on the Tarcoles River.  Many birds were on view.  I'm not a bird person so my identification of the birds may be suspect.

Here are some photos.....

Today is a sea day.  It's the first of three sea days en route to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.

The sky last evening was beautiful.

Tonight there will be a dinner in La Terrazza with the Captain, the Hotel Director and other officers for the 12 passengers on this cruise who will be continuing on to the World Cruise departing from San Francisco on January 15.  This should be a treat!

Today was the second of three sea days en route to Puerto Vallarta.   Last night's dinner was magical!  The place cards for the table were hand lettered on a lasagna noodle by a talented Carry!  Beautiful calligraphy!  I had the absolute pleasure of dining next to the very charming Captain Giacomo Longo.  There were 11 passengers along with officers and staff.   Very well done!

I'm sure the captain also enjoyed dining next to the very charming Mysty!

This was the list for today.   There may be more options for the World Cruise.

This is our last sea day prior to arrival in Puerto Vallarta tomorrow morning.  Seas are calm and temperature is very comfortable.

One of our favourite venues on sea days is the Restaurant.  We go for either breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner.  It is an oasis of serenity that we savour.  La Terrazza can be frenzied with the buffet breakfast and lunch as can the Pool Deck at lunch.  The food and service at the Restaurant has been wonderful!

Mysty, you are sounding so laid back as to be almost horizontal.  Really wish I was there too, rather than being surrounded (not too near me) by floods, with some dry but cold weather coming up so the roads will be icy.  I seriously hate winter these days.  So seeing all the lovely photos from you and Davey is a treat.  Thank you.

@lincslady, I'm not yet horizontal! 😅  These cruises have been an absolute delight! All the angst of planning,  airport stress and worry melted away upon boarding the Silver Shadow.   We are looking forward to greeting past cruise friends and making new ones when the World Cruise sets sail on January 15th.

We did an excursion called Spirits of Mexico.  We left the ship in a small van to travel north from the pier to Hacienda Don Engracia.

During our visit here we sampled 7 shots of tequila.  Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Almond, Peach, Coffee and a coffee mezcal.  We bought a bottle of the Coffee Tequila.

We then had a chocolate tasting.  The site grows cacao.

Then we got a lesson in how to make a perfect guacamole.  We got to sample it along with a passion fruit margarita.  Delicious!

Si Si!  You know that thing I said about calm seas?  Well,  that has changed.   Rocking about now on the way to Cabo San Lucas.   It's not horrific,  just more of a challenge to navigate without toppling over.   It's all good! 😁
