No more discount on internet for Platinum and Elite?

The problem with the status in the app is due to conflicting information in the various databases. for example medallion when I am off ship show me as blue, when I am on ship it is black, Princess main database shows me as black.

 

Back in December I used Chay and the person handling the call corrected my status. However, when I then went on a cruise, and once I got off ship it reverted to blue. Now onboard another ship it is showing blue. Problem is clearly one of data conflicts between the various databases. Probably caused when medallion account was first established.I did purchase all of my internet for 8 cruises this year. all show in confirmation. all has been fine on the cruises I have boarded after the increase.

The sad part is that my status had always showed  correctly on the app before this update and have never had an issue prior to this.

The website was acting up last night. Seems okay today, slow.

 

She may need to delete the App and reinstall.

Just deleted the app and reinstalled; still got the same message "sorry our server...".  So I tried to go in with her booking number, and successfully log in.  The status still showing as "blue".

Did she do the recent update fir the App?

If so, it’s just the App.  Maybe they will fix this again.  Has she tried an ipad sign in?


I have an iPhone, and set up automatic updates. 
 

Did you ever get to purchase at 50%, or is it still full price for you?

Earlier I uninstalled and installed her app again.  By doing that, wouldn't it bring in the latest version?  She has iPhone 13.  

 

I just sent an email to askoceanmedallion@carnival.com and asked them about her log in problem and her blue status problem (she is Elite).  Hopefully they will fix both of the problems.

 

For me, my app now shows I can purchase at 50%.  Since I read on CC that now the price is the same regardless I buy it ahead or buy once on board, then I rather buy it after I get on the ship.  I have about $1,000 OBC remaining even after the gratuities, so I rather buy it onboard to use up some of the OBC.

It should download the current App.  I say, it should.

Not sure about anything on the App anymore.

Had this issue last March. Both of us. Had to contact them to fix it. Took a week to fix it.

Just got off my cruise. I received 50% back as an OBC once on the cruise.

Thank you.  That’s what I was afraid of. I’d much rather save that money up front.

Especially, if it’s a long cruise.  We don’t always want more OBC. That’s more money for PCL that way.  

 

Do you recall if it was refundable?  It should be.

After dealing with the issue for months of the app showing me as blue instead of black, it's finally fixed for me.  I must have finally reached the correct email at the Medallion App Support Team, because two weeks later, I'm finally recognized as elite again on the app.  Let's hope it holds and some app update doesn't send me back down the loyalty chute to blue!

I just went back and looked and it is listed as “Mednet Loyalty Discount”. It was already on our account when we boarded. It doesn’t say non-refundable so I guess if you didn’t use it, it would be refunded to you. We had plenty of expenses, compliments of the casino, so had no problem using it up.
