I am on a cruise later in the spring on the Dawn and am interested in the Salt Lab.  How do you make reservations for this?

I am on the Dawn now and you can make a reservation for the lab after you board the ship😀 I took a class in there the other day and it was a lot of fun!

I took several  classes in the Salt Lab on The Moon and was able to sign up after boarding.  If you like to cook don’t expect anything groundbreaking but it is something to do.  The chef onboard my cruise was very entertaining.

And for gosh sakes don’t drink any alcohol right before your class. The knives they provide you are very sharp!

Most of the mis en place prep is done for you…and at your station once you arrive.

I booked SALT lab on the Moon when my wife was in 10 days quarantine last January.

 

I’ve come to realise, I’m not a chef! lol 

 

It does get booked up as there are limited places. (In my case it helped that there were only 120 on board and 10 of them in quarantine!), so easy to book for me…. But suspect it’s not the case when full!

I was going to suggest NOT eating a full lunch before going to the afternoon class (as I foolishly did) as you get to eat what you make.  However, @spinnaker2 recommendation is far more essential and entertaining 😜

I have really enjoyed a few classes in the lab.  Booked once onboard and definitely agree with Mchell810 that you don’t have too much for lunch.
