Vow Renewal

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary on the 11 night PG sailing this July. I was looking at the possibility of adding the Vow Renewal to our sailing, but have a few questions.  How far in advance does it have to be booked?  Do we get to pick to day/time or is it a group or set time situation?  And lastly, does any one take a couple of photographs during the ceremony for us?  Thanks!!

It's something you book well in advance by contacting PG or have your TA do it. Vow renewals are typically done on Bora Bora private motu and Motu Mahana. The ship photographer can be included in your renewal price.

Now if you came on one of my PG cruises I'd take the pictures for you but your already booked for July.

Ah! ☺️ Next time, for sure!  Your responses on this board have been so helpful as I have been reading through the boards.  I have no doubt being a guest on one your PG cruises would be fantastic!

I don't see where you can add a ship photographer or the price for a renewal ceremony.  This is all I am able to see on the PG website.  Do you have any idea about how much adding a photographer would be?

PG - Renewal Wedding Vows

I don't as I take the pictures myself for anyone in my group. It's what I do for a living ... wedding photography.

Which cruise date are you on? I know of another good photographer that might be on your cruise.

This last year I had to couples in my groups that did a vow renewal/ceremony. On the first picture the Captain and Cruise director look on as the couple 'seal' the deal up on deck 9. The second picture it was an actual ceremony done the Bora Bora motu.

My husband and I did the vow renewal about 5 years ago. It was wonderful! We had friends sailing with us, and the cost of the renewal package included eight guests. The ceremony was in a beautiful location. They supplied a photographer that took lots of pictures. One picture was free. I assumed that the extra pictures would be reasonable, but for that they wanted to charge for the photographers time and a really high per picture charge. I didn’t understand this so picked out about 20 pictures and the charge was about $1400. I said no thank you and was so glad my friends took lots of pictures. Their policies may have changed since. So, be sure to ask. I did write a scathing letter to PG.
It was a great celebration and lots of inclusions. Go for it. Memories for a life time.

Another wonderful way to celebrate an occasion is the Marina Dinner.  It is offered while moored in Bora Bora.  Just before sunset, we were escorted down to the marina where there was a Zodiac waiting for us.  We were taken into the lagoon to view the sunset while sipping champagne and eating canapés.  Upon returning to the Marina, we were treated to a beautifully set table and singing by the Gauguins.  We then had dinner from the dinning room menu.  It was a memorable!  We are repeating this special night on our cruise in October.IMG_0571.thumb.JPEG.fe5a8c13b8bef3823cacab8d4c45c49b.JPEG

Hi excited balcony, just wondering whether you decided to go for the vow renewal and if so, how did it go?  Would love to hear some details as we have one booked for August.

Happy travels
