Ongoing Construction on Radiance of the Seas?

Recommended Posts

I am seeing that there are multiple deck plan options available on the RCL website for Radiance of the Seas. I am assuming that is due to ongoing refurb of the ship over time. I am trying to figure out what is being refurbed in each time period and specifically the time period in which we would be sailing on her (September 29th, 2023 - April 22nd, 2024) if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated!

I saw in a video tour of the ship on YouTube dated 2022 that there was ongoing construction on the kid's pool, but not seeing any documentation on that portion of the ship being unavailable during that time.

Thanks in Advance!

Very unlikely, more like RCI wants to confuse consumers by recategorizing cabins all the time (without any actual changes on the ship). Even the ship may not know exactly what is affected till the work starts.

i think the recategorizing is done as an attempt to sell cabins at a higher pricing. whatever they are doing is not consumer friendly

It is very likely that it is to sell cabins differently.  If you look during the summer, when it is in Alaska, each side is different.  I am on the port side for a southbound, my friend on starboard, and it would cost $100 pp to switch sides, as her side only sees land maybe 70-80% of the journey, where I booked the port side to see the amazing mountains at the beginning.  If you look on a northbound sailing, I bet the premiums will switch.
