blondie from arizona Posted January 29, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2023 Before Covid we used to get invited to bridge tours, galley tours, and back stage tours. Are they still doing them? We just got back from 2 cruises (Mariner and Jewel) and we did not receive invitations for these. I know they have started doing the All Access Tours that you pay for . That is not what I am talking about. I am asking about the complimentary tours that you are invited to because you are D+. Also, are any of the other benefits different? We seemed to have gotten lost in the system somewhere. I didn't expect tours etc on our 4 night Mariner, but we were totally missed on the Jewel 6 night. We also weren't invited to the Top Tier Event, but we know they had it. And, our casino stuff didn't load either. The only thing working was the drink vouchers. At least that went well. Just looking for information on what my expectations should be. If it is based on the length of the cruise, the ship, or they are/aren't doing it anymore. **We really enjoyed the tours.**
Sunshine3601 Posted January 29, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2023 Sounds like you may not have received your mail in the cabin. We have received notices for back stage tours but not bridge or galley tours on our cruises in 2022. No invite is needed for top tier event if you know the day and time you can just show up. I have never seen anyone checking sea passes. We rarely attend but usually receive at least 2 invites.
shipgeeks Posted January 29, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2023 On Enchantment all last year, what used to be the backstage tour was changed to a theater presentation in the theater, with a dancer, a singer, and stage manager who gave talks and then took questions. Some costumes were displayed, with explanations of how they can fake things for the quick changes. Crowding backstage was given as the reason for the change, during covid restrictions. latebuyer Posted January 29, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2023 There is some sort of brunch/galley tour on brilliance of the seas in june. I believe there was an expensive ship tour.
jbrinkm Posted January 29, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2023 I see an All Access Ship Tour in my planner (Allure, April).
Cigar King Posted January 30, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2023 I haven't seen these since Covid, and perhaps a little before that.
blondie from arizona Posted January 30, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted January 30, 2023 We were not receiving our mail in our room and the app was not working correctly. Several trips to customer service and the loyalty mgr. We had multiple issues on the cruise. I am planning another cruise and if I have issues again, I want to get it taken care of right away. If invitations should be coming, I want to be prepared. We really do enjoy the bridge tour and I don't want to miss it, if it is available to everyone else. AND, if people can pay to go do it, then it probably isn't a COVID thing.
Tlbecker1 Posted January 30, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2023 Just got off the Radiance and we were invited to a backstage meet and greet with performers in the Theater. We didn’t go, but we were invited each week.
monorail81 Posted January 30, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2023 Went on Mariner in December and received invites for both the Top Tier event and a Backstage Tour of the theater.
Rare Thisguylikestocruise Posted January 30, 2023 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) This is on Wonder. Looks interesting but there’s no way I’m paying $318 for this when my wife and I board Sunday.
