LOLooking for recs for a reasonably-priced hotel (if there is such a thing!) near the Miami port for 2 nights April 4&5, pre-cruise.

For comparison, our last few cruises (pre-covid) have been out of Ft. Lauderdale & we found the hotels there, along 17th street? -HI Express, Embassy Suites..-

to be adequate, clean enough & OK. Would prob. like to get something that includes "free" breakfast & "free" shuttles to port. Suggestions appreciated.

Oh, is HOTWIRE still a good site to try??? ....been a while  🙂

Quick google on Hampton seems to come in at $450+ /night range...OUCH!

Any thoughts on the Holiday Inn Port of Miami/downtown -340 Biscayne.

its on some sites for $225/night range  ...

You are going in peak Spring vacation time.

Holiday Inn Port Miami is an older hotel. Recent reviews on the board show that it is still pretty good. Check out TripAdvisor reviews.

It is a great location, 5-10 mins to the ship. There are no free shuttles in the Downtown Miami/Brickell area, and its not needed. A taxi or Uber is a 10-min drive and should cost no more than $10-$15. Shuttles are usually charging $8-$10 a person, so usually a rideshare or taxi is cheaper.

On hotels.com with a member login I am seeing the Hampton Inn Brickell (top pre-cruise hotel on the boards) at $300/night, which is not bad. YVE hotel is showing under $200/night for those dates in 2023.

The other option is stay in FLL since you have preciously stayed there in hotels you like. Then Uber to the port day of the cruise.

Staying in Hollywod, FL is another option. Look at hotels on the Boardwalk. Riptide and Walkabout are options but there is also a Marriott and a Margaritaville. Great location. Hollywood is between FLL and Miami.
