piper Posted February 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2023 Not only does Azamara have the worst telephone customer service as far as being put on hold, the website is pretty poor too. Can anyone tell me if a clothes steamer, not an iron, is allowed on board?

blag Posted February 1, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2023 If having crease-free garments is sufficiently important for you to ask such a question (and I suspect that gowilk is correct) perhaps you are unaware that Azamara offers a garment pressing service. I had some garments pressed at no cost, but maybe this a perk for occupants of suites. You may have to pay for the service, depending on your stateroom category.

I looked at a couple of other cruise websites and neither specifically mentioned steamers. Edited February 1, 2023 by laurieb

An Iron is available in the self serve laundry or you can pay for laundry service.
piper Posted February 2, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted February 2, 2023 To clarify, I specifically said I wasn’t talking about an iron, I was asking about a clothes steamer - you put water in it, the water gets hot and produces steam
luv2travel90266 Posted February 2, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2023 As they don't allow water kettles which boils water I would think steamers are in the same category although not specifically on Azamara's list. Bring it if you want to carry it and see. The screen shot below was off a google search

luv2travel90266 Posted February 4, 2023 #10 Share Posted February 4, 2023 Azamara is informal dress. We bring clothes that hang wrinkle free but there is an iron in the laundry area if you feel you need it. The worst that would happen is they would take the steamer from you and return it at the end of the cruise. I personally try to bring as little extra as possible on every trip as I become the porter and the misses tips poorly.😁

I’d say leave the steamer at home.
wjfan417 Posted February 4, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 4, 2023 I normally carry a spray bottle of wrinkle remover when I travel (well sealed in a couple plastic bags in case of leaks).
