Drink Package - What is *Actually* On the Ship?

Recommended Posts

No Crown Royal or Don Qulio on Serenade and Jewel last month. Bacardi on both ships tasted like the bottles had been filled with a very cheap rum-like product. Had a nasty taste and tequila like aftertaste- definitely not Bacardi, even though I watched them pour it at several bars. I notified the f&b manager on Serenade, but after having this on Jewel also, I think it is international.

Royal hasn't carried Don Julio for a while and it's not listed as available on the package but they had plenty of Crown Royal on Oasis last week. In our experience not every bar is fully stocked on the first night so if you don't find something in one bar you may find it elsewhere. Usually the second or third night they're ready to rock.

Thanks for the feedback. On my last cruise I did a la cart, which was fine. Package or not, I am just wondering about supply issues and the current situation.

My suggestion would be to wait until right before your cruise to order the drink package. Then join the roll call for the sailing just prior to yours. I’m sure someone will ask around at the bars if they have Belvedere or whatever liquor you might want. If they have it and aren’t running short you should be fine. If they don’t then you’ll know. And if they get it back in stock for your voyage it will be a pleasant surprise.

What's available at one bar doesn't mean it is/isn't available at another. Ask the bartenders if they know where you might find another brand and sometimes they or someone else will know if it's on the ship. Ran into this last cruise looking for Patron and was able to find it through a recommendation from the casino bar.
