okeytaco Posted February 5, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2023 How do you find out the number and category of unsold staterooms on a particular sailing? I see that some folks take this into consideration when bidding for upgrades.
highfields Posted February 5, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Go to a web site such as "scanner of the seas" (reverse that) and view the number of available cabins. 1

Thanks for the tip - looks like a great way to check the price as well
okeytaco Posted February 5, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Thank you so much! We've always booked early enough to see availability and choose the exact location we want. This time it was a spur of the moment decision and we had to take a guaranteed room hoping to bid to move up.
Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted February 5, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Just scanned the site but don't see how to locate the information the OP is requesting. I'd like to know the same thing for our upcoming sailing.
oh2cruise Posted February 5, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2023 May have misunderstood your instruction. Looked to sea scanner but it was very difficult to navigate and could not convert to USD.

Go to your browser search. Type in "5000 eur to usd". Get your answer. Also note that the price you get may or may not be the real price because airlines and cruiselines price differently depending on the point of sale. Rare Jim_Iain Posted February 5, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2023 I use any of the Airline Sites - under cruises. You have to go to each category and then physically count the number of cabins. They are both listed off to the right side as well as a blinking light on the deck plan. I always use these sites for searching cruises as it is so much easier than celebrity site and but never booked with them.
RMac713 Posted February 5, 2023 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2023 I looked on the Costco site just now--cruising in a little less than two months. No oceanview available, only guarantee inside and only 5 suites, but over 300 balcony rooms still open. So in no way full, but the retreat is pretty full. I found it easy to navigate , I only use to see empty cabins
