I found that the ladies shower leaked causing flooding in the tiny cubicle. I was on the ship 5 years ago and then last year and found the same problem. I was told that it might be fixed when the ship goes to dry lock. Thanks. I haven’t been there this trip. We go to La Reserve tonight. Got to see an updated PH today, they are beautiful. Lots of subtle changes around the ship. To catch them you would need to be familiar with what it was like before. One new thing is they offer $25 free play to everyone in the casino now. 2
tvmovielover Posted March 15, 2023 #77 Share Posted March 15, 2023 I too am curious to know what they are offering as excursions for Jacksonville and where they will dock. I know there is a cruise port near Jaxport but that is not that close to Jax beaches or downtown Jacksonville museums. I live in the area like the city too but I am not sure I would prefer it to Bermuda.

Candy factory, chocolate factory and shopping. $159 amelia island historical tour $189 St Augustine Historical tour $189 st Augustine on your own $129 I also understand that there will be a free shuttle to St Augustine. I don’t know details on that. Not sure why any would pay $129 to take the on your own tour when they’re offering a free shuttle. Maybe it’s guaranteed and exclusive and the free shuttle is first come first served. I have no idea where we will dock. 1
Rare ORV Posted March 15, 2023 Author #79 Share Posted March 15, 2023 Dinner in La Reserve last night was great. La Bourgeoisie, which might be the largest amount of food of any of the four dinners we’ve had in La Reserve. I didn’t take pictures or notes as I don’t do that, all the wine was French and good in my limited estimation. We enjoyed the company of two lovely couples. The dinner was excellent. There were 3 tables of 6. I’m certainly glad I packed a Sport coat as all the men there were wearing them. I apologize for missing the meet and greet as we got tied up doing some other stuff after trivia. I did mean to make it. 5
Poppie55 Posted March 15, 2023 #80 Share Posted March 15, 2023 St. Augustine is wonderful! When we visited years ago they had a trolley ride you could take around the area! Many interesting shops!
tvmovielover Posted March 15, 2023 #81 Share Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) ORV I would try the free shuttle to St Augustine or the St Augustine historical tour if not wanting to walk much. I live on Amelia Island-the "historical tour" is just okay. The Island is a nice place for a quiet beach vacation or a second home but cool in the winter. Jim and Monika Posted March 15, 2023 #87 Share Posted March 15, 2023 My take was that if they put money on both, they would win on one and convert the $50 free play to $50 cash.

I do have a question about the La Reserve dinners. Can you only book these once on board or can you reserve when the other dining reservations open? Enjoy your cruise ORV.

I am new to Oceania and I am on a Oceania Riviera Cruise on November 9, 2023. I also was very interest in the two types of dining options. I go onto my account by logging in. Going to Manage Your Booking. Under the Dining Tab I have three options. Specialty Restaurants La Reserve Privee Under La Reserve I can book three options: Odyssey Menu La Cuisine Bourgeoise Dom Perignon Experience I attempted to book one as a test. On all three there is one night each is available when you click the person in your group wants to attend, it then puts the dollar amount in your cart. I have not done final payment as of yet, FYI. I don't know if that helps you but thought I would share. I did book some cooking classes already so I know the cart will work. Again, I am in no way an expert. Cruise well and enjoy every moment. We did already sign up for culinary classes so that sounds like "business as usual" at least for that.
