No home phone with OceanReady Check-In

Hi - I have been trying for DAYS to:

Complete the Required OceanReady Check-In Process

for our upcoming Sapphire Alaska Cruisetour that starts 5/19.

We no longer have a land/home phone.  We each have our mobile.  When I try to fill in [Personal Information

 

Home phone is mandatory.

SORRY !!  Hit the send button too quickly!

 

Anyway, I have tried leaving home blank,

I have tried putting cell number in both home & mobile

I have tried using our old (no longer valid) home #

 

& I keep getting the "Home phone is mandatory" error message & can't move on in the process.

 

I finally got through to do a live chat w an agent.  That time was wasted - he had NO answers or suggestions, just kept telling me I HAD to have a home phone #.  I gave up.  I really am trying to not call & be on hold for ever.

 

I know we are not the only people who no longer have a home phone!

Is it just me - or what is the work-around for this??

 

I will appreciate any tips/suggestions!

Nope!  It will not let me do it.

I have tried on different days after logging out & refreshing.  There are 3 of us traveling, I have tried it with each of us independently.

 

I feel like I am manifesting a definition of insanity!!!

Use your cell phone #.   We do not have a home phone, just cell phones.  Just double checked my next cruise and both my Home and Mobile phone # are the same (and fully checked in) No dashes, just 9998884444

 

Also try adding it via the website (not the app).  I found entering base level data much easier that way.

Cell phones are home phones very few people I know have a landline

Thanks for all the responses, 

I gave up on the app, it doesn't seem to let me stay in there very long.  I have been trying mostly on the website.  I have been doing only numbers, no dashes or parentheses.  I will

I will check on that 1 at the beginning when it lets me in again.

 

It has got to be my tech-challenged-ness!

 

Maybe waiting til we get there will work better.  Since our land portion is first, maybe checking in for that will take care of everything for the cruise too??

You need to select  +t 1 from the drop down menu before the phone number field.

I would uninstall and reinstall the app (in case you have not tried that). Good thing once you are successful getting your info in, for all future cruises it is there already, no need to go through thsi frustrating process again.
