Very few hotels offer shuttles. Anything in Downtown Miami or Brickell is a short ride to the port.

Try the EB Hotel Miami, in addition to their standard rates, they offer a room package which includes both airport and cruise port shuttle, Their rates are excellent and they also offer special rates for AAA, AARP and FLA. residents. We booked for our future trip with them   https://www.ebhotels.com/miami

Looking for a Miami hotel close to the port that provides shuttle service to the port or a short cab ride. Will be coming in by train the night before, so parking is not an issue.

We are cruising out of Miami Terminal E. Our cruise line suggested we park at the garage at Terminal C. But looking at the maps, it appears that there is a large surface lot directly across from Terminal E. Does anyone know, is that lot the same price ($22/night). And does it fill up, making it really unavailable?

TIA.

same price yes. Take a ticket on entry and pay on exit. Hard to say if it will be full on your day. If so you can simply drive to the parking garage. Majority of folks want to park in the garages anyway!

…especially if cruising during the summer when your car will bake in a surface lot!

I despise paying to park -- anywhere.

Having said that, be sure to compare total cost to total cost; that is, include the cost of a taxi or Uber to the terminal.

Personally, we usually bite the bullet and pay the huge cost of parking at the port -- mostly because we have an all-day drive ahead of us when we leave the ship, and we like to hit the road right away.  Walking straight to our car is fast, and that has to count for something.

Quick question: Do you pay on the way into the garage or on the way out at the Miami Port?

Sadly on the way out. Sat in the garage for over an hour in January they had two ticket takers.

In my experience, only Port Canaveral collects on the way IN.  The others collect on the way OUT.

Thanks. We changed plans and will now have someone drive us down to Miami instead of doing it ourselves.
