Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2023 Currently there are aft corner suites available on decks 4 and 8. Can anyone compare/contrast these two (balcony size, room layout, location, etc..)? Last HAL cruise was the Statendam in 1966, so to say I know little about the Pinnacle class ships would be an understatement ! THANKS, Tom
VermeulT Posted March 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2023 I've been in both on the Vista Class ships, which are similar enough to the Rotterdam. I'd say the rooms and balconies are more or less equivalent. Deck 4 is closer to the water and you'll hear the wake more. Deck 8 is closer to the lido deck, so you might have people looking down on you. We didn't care and if anything it made us hanging out more interactive with others. Deck 4 is closer to the dining room. Deck 8 is closer to the lido and closer to the neptune lounge.
CruiserBruce Posted March 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2023 Most notably, discussed here frequently, is the deck 4 corner Neptunes have really BIG balconies.
Rare 0106 Posted March 17, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2023 I had a deck 8 aft verandah on the Rotterdam and it was completely covered. Deck 8 is my preferred deck. I love the easy access to the Seaview pool and Lido. It is also closer to the Neptune lounge on deck 7.
