tvo7 Posted March 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2023 I would like to use my Samsung phone and Samsung Dex as back up in case my laptop goes down. DO the TV in the staterooms have HDMI input or USB input?
soremekun Posted March 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2023 To use the HDMI input, you'll need to bring your own universal remote.
GJustice Posted March 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2023 We were on Radiance last month and there was a remote WITH Input button 🙂 Last year we had a TV that would "automagically" detect a dongle in the HDMI when powered on so didn't need to change input manually. YMMV of course 🙂
LilBlackDress Posted March 18, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2023 I bring a universal remote just in case the provided remote does not have an input button

tvo7 Posted March 18, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted March 18, 2023 Do the tvs have a physical button where I can press to select the input? Will any cheap Universal remote work? Anyone tried a android app on the phone that says it can act like a universal remote?
Ashland Posted March 18, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2023 (edited) We always hook our lap top into the HDMI input on back of TV. We bring a universal remote and HDMI cable and can then watch Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. etc. If you have any problem just call maintenance and ask for an electrician to come to your cabin and help....they will. We just used our Firestick on Navigator and the cabin remote gave us some problems but an electrician came and put a code into the cabin remote and it easily let us use it instead of our laptop. Problems, just ask their very helpful and was told they do this all the time for guests. Edited March 18, 2023 by Ashland
