My final payment isn’t until end of May but I canceled this cruise for another one later in august

rep told me I’ll get deposit back in 10-14 days and I asked about the soda package I bought and he said that would be returned as fcc

i said I want everything refunded to card (even thought I could use fcc on next cruise.)  Is this a thing they try to keep anything you pre-purchased and refund as fcc even if it’s way before final payment?

He then agreed to refund everything???

Cancel the soda package - and anything else ordered and paid for in Cruise Personalizer - and then cancel the cruise booking after those have processed (like next business day).

Cancellations like that have always been refunded to my credit card. That said, I have never cancelled a purchased item at the same time as cancelling a cruise. Its entirely possible that customer support gave you the wrong answer.   In the future I would do as someone else suggested, cancel pre-purchased items like water, soft drinks, excursions, etc and then a day later, cancel your cruise.
