My cousin and I have been upgraded to a VQ verandah using Club Orange.  I am seeing some references to these spa verandahs having access to the thermal spa on the Rotterdam.  Can anyone comment on this???( we would be beyond excited, since we did enjoy the thermal on the Eurodam)!!!

I think there's a staircase in that area that takes you down to the thermal suite level.  However, you can't use it unless you've bought a pass - use of the thermal suite doesn't come with the VQ or any other spa stateroom.

You are close to the spa but do not get free spa access.  The balcony is smaller than regular verandahs.  Being on the 10th deck near the bow, you will feel some motion if the seas are high.  Spa stateroom amenities include: complimentary use of organic cotton bathrobes & slippers, iPod docking station, soothing color palette in-room slate table-top water feature, Yoga mat, pedometer for use aboard, mini-bar stocked one time with specialty waters, cut-fruit tray at embarkation, invigorating shower head, wooden bathmat, aromatherapy bath salts, room service Spa breakfast, in-room Spa menu and Spa concierge to book treatments.

Was just in a VQ on Rotterdam 4/2023. The thermal suite pass is definitely NOT included with your cabin.

The location is absolutely wonderful though. Crows Nest nearby, lido right there, and if you buy a thermal suite pass, you’re a super short distance away to use it more often. We found that NY Pizza was really nice to be so close to for quiet early breakfast by the pool!

The motion of the ship didn’t feel that exaggerated to us, but some people are very sensitive to this. We prefer to be forward of midship versus aft when we have to choose, so VQ’s work great.

Slightly smaller balcony, but most balconies feel small these days. Enough room for one person to use chair reclined or two sitting upright or standing.

There are no yoga mats, table-top water feature, slippers, pedometer, fruit tray, bath salts, spa breakfast, or in room spa menu on Rotterdam. This is the second time we’ve used the Bluetooth Bose speaker much more than we would have ever expected. It’s a great touch. The wooden bathmat is also really nice to use, but it’s such a tight space that we kept stubbing our toes or tripping exiting the bathroom because of it.

Any examples of these menus??

@northernphoenix Room service menus These are the general room service menus.  I do not know if the spa cabins have additional choices.  When we had Club Orange in February, there were a few additional options

There were not additional choices for room service.

Truly the only things different from a standard verandah cabin was the location, the Bluetooth speaker, the canned flavored seltzers + two bottles of water, and the wooden bath mat. (MAYBE the runner on the bed is a different color, too.)

It really is unfortunate that HAL does not offer free access to the Thermal Suite like other cruise lines do when you book their Spa cabins, example Celebrity and NCL.

And Carnival. At least they did some years back when we booked a spa cabin on the Splendor.

Feb 2023 on Nieuw Amsterdam our Spa cabin on deck 10 did NOT come w/most of the items listed for spa cabins even though they werexall still shown on website.

We did get the water, wooden mat, different colored pillows & bedrunner.

Truly wanted the fruit, but brought some back from Lido and had it delivered from room service. Also missed the special menu.

Sister's spa cabin few doors down did have the Boss.

As others mentioned, it does not include Thermalspa pass, just easy 1-flight access.
