George’s Taxi or PK Tours

I could use some opinions, want to do a full day private tour with either George’s or PK. Basically the same price for both. Anyone have any personal experience with either?

We haven’t done a tour but we’ve used George for airport transfers to and from on several occasions. Totally reliable.

We haven't done the tour yet, but we did book with PK Travel for 5/22/2023.  There are 27 of us and they were very accommodating.  We debark our cruise on 5/22/2023 and staying in Athens for two days.  They will pick us up when we get off the ship - take all of us with all our luggage on our full day tour.  When we are done, they will drop us off at our hotel/airbnb in the city center.  That saves us money from taking a car service from the cruise port to our hotel/airbnb.

We have used George's many times over the year from simple airport transfers to a 5-day tour of the Peloponnese ending at the cruise port. We have always had excellent service.

Both are mentioned here quite frequently. Doubt you could go wrong with either.

What time did you have George's pick you up at the pier?

Depends.

If going on a tour, around 8 or 9. 

If going to the airport, at whichever time they said.  Just tell them the docking time and the flight time. 

If picking up at the airport, tell them flight number and they'll be there

 

When we went to the Peloponnese, they picked us up at the airport and, after 5 days, they got us to the ship around three hours ahead of sailing time.

We're going from the port to a hotel. I told them 8:00 am. What do you think?

That works.  Some time between docking time and the latest time you are allowed to disembark.  If going to a hotel, we always allow for time for breakfast and a leisurely exit.  It also depends on other plans for the day.  Allow 30 minutes for the ride to the hotel.

Do you have any idea how long Greece's customs will take?

No customs coming out of the cruise ship.  You just walk out.

We used PK Travel last year. Just myself & husband. We went to Sounion. Excellent service. Think Demetris was our driver as we didn’t need a guide. His English was great but we are Greek speaking so used it as an opportunity to practice our language skills.

We used PK in 2018 for a private tour. It was my husband and I along with our 2 best friends. PK is totally awesome 😎 we will use them again in August 2024

We used PK Travel last month and they were great! Had a driver and a guide for my family of 6. Very reasonably priced for this size group for sure.

Note rush hour traffic in the morning getting from the port, thru Piraeus (sp?) and out to the Acropolis site. Our driver figured out the quickest way to get us there and still beat the crowds!

Guide was very knowledgable.
