Waju Posted April 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2023 I've just seen a video of cabin 17219 on Iona - it has a layout that looks like its two rooms - does anyone know if there are any other cabins with this layout?
Britboys Posted April 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Purely looking at the deckplan, I would imagine 17.219, 221, 301 and 303 are likely to all be the same layout..?
molecrochip Posted April 24, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Yes, four with same layout. They aren’t as deep hence the need to double width them.

davecttr Posted May 1, 2023 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2023 Just a sofa, the cabin is a 2 berth only, or solo I had 17219 next door. The balconies on these cabins are twice as wide as normal and 17219 is enormous, image later, you could hold a party out there. There are 4 cabins on board, same on Iona. They are classed as shaded and overlooked although 17219 is not shaded out on the balcony wing. 17219 and 17221 are GF category and 17301 and 17303 are GC category. Keep your 'living room' curtains closed at night otherwise nosy neighbours can see into the room through the balcony divider, and into the bathroom if the door is open through the dressing table mirror! Thanks for that information, it's a shame really that it's just a sofa - it looks a perfect cabin if you wanted someone to share, almost two rooms if you like. I have an extended Arvia on the hump booked later this year and wondered about sun/shade there as well.
davecttr Posted May 1, 2023 #12 Share Posted May 1, 2023 (edited) Yes, about 6 plus feet on the outer edge until the sun climbs above the over hang. Enough room for the 2 chairs and table. This is the view aft, the overhang only shades deck 17 which is why the deck 17 cabins have the cheapest balcony grade. The deluxe cabin hump area is the curved bit with the 2 passengers Edited May 1, 2023 by davecttr
davecttr Posted May 1, 2023 #13 Share Posted May 1, 2023 (edited) This is the deck 17 overhang. Lower deck cabins are less shaded Above on deck 18 is the Beachcomber bar and pool, adults only with easy access using the spiral staircase next to the Crows Nest, not in the retreat area Edited May 1, 2023 by davecttr
davecttr Posted May 1, 2023 #14 Share Posted May 1, 2023 (edited) Beachcomber bar and pool there are also normal cushioned seats Edited May 1, 2023 by davecttr

davecttr Posted May 2, 2023 #16 Share Posted May 2, 2023 All the pools are small, probably because they are hundreds of feet above the sea. This is the largest one in the Skydome. The green areas are covered by seating in a theatre layout towards the stage. They are seats not loungers.
Fionboard Posted May 2, 2023 #17 Share Posted May 2, 2023 Is there no large outdoor pool for families with kids?
davecttr Posted May 2, 2023 #18 Share Posted May 2, 2023 No, there are 4 pools, deck 18 has Beachcomber ( adults only) and Panorama. Deck 16 has the Skydome and Infinity ( the one where the idiots splash the balconies below). There is a 'Splash Valley' in the kids club area.
