Using FCC on an existing booking

Thanks.  I havn't got it yet, it's for some issues on the last cruise and have never had a FCC before.

At this point it's best to apply FCC before final payment due date.

Keep detailed records when you apply FCC.  In some cases it's applied in a manner that can make tracking fares for price drops more challenging.  In the event that something happens to the cruise that you applied the FCC towards you'll want to have detailed records of the FCC so you make sense of the numbers and their math in the future.

Suggest you request a copy of the cruise invoice before applying the FCC and then request another invoice after the FCC has been applied.

Can a FCC voucher be used on an existing booking. Thanks.

In most cases yes but you have to call or have your TA apply it.

You can do it online as well using this link:

We just applied an FCC this way last week to an existing booking.

If you received a letter from Guest Services with the details of what the FCC was for and what the % discount was, there should be a phone number in the letter as well. Call the number and give them the information from the letter (they may ask you to email them a copy). They will issue the FCC redemption numbers while you are on the phone, and they can be applied online the next day.

If you don't get it within 30 days be sure to call. They'll ask you to email a copy of the letter you received onboard. Then they'll issue the fcc on the spot, though it takes an hour or two to be used on a reservation

Just a bit curious if you can share any details about the cruise/issue since we also received one of these for an issue on our 4/16 Wonder cruise that we redeemed last week.

I am expecting an FCC certificate to show up this week and confirmed we could use it on a future sailing that is booked but not fully paid for.

We just got off Brilliance to Alaska and were in room 8500 (right at the front of the ship, fantastic room for my family of 5) but the entire week we kept smelling cigarette smoke. I'm extra sensitive to it (I have to hold my breath running through the casino or I will start having a coughing fit) but tried to tough it out during the cruise since I figured it was just smoke from the crew smoking area (which was just a couple decks below next to the helipad at the front).  I made a comment to the front desk on the last day that they might want maintenance to check on the ventilation system.  The front desk person became very concerned (she said there was no way the smoke from outside should be able to reach the rooms) and said she would alert housekeeping (in case someone was smoking where they shouldn't).  Within 15 minutes the head of housekeeping was in our room to check and apologize for the inconvenience.

I was really surprised how serious they took my complaint and am impressed that they offered me something.

Not much of an issue, infact we didn't complain.  We arrived at our accessible cabin at 5pm and the previous guests equipment was still there and the room had not been serviced.  A crew member was passing and asked if they knew why It had not been done (He happened to be head of house keeping) he apologised and said it would be done immediately.  We returned an hour later and all was well.  3 days later he arrived and told us we would receive a 15% discount on a future cruise.

Our past experience with these is they never send the certificate, and unless you call the number listed on the letter you received from Guest Services you will hear nothing from RCL's shoreside staff.
